Opt-Out Programs

As consumers become increasingly eco-conscious, there has been a movement towards "Green" initiatives across the country targeted at direct to door advertising, particularly telephone directories.  Many consumers today would prefer to have the ability to choose whether or not to receive the local directory or other advertising at their homes.

In an effort to think proactively about the distribution of their products, and to demonstrate their ability to self regulate, our eco-friendly clients have developed interactive programs to provide consumers the ability to reduce delivery quantities or Opt-Out of directory delivery. 

The key to a successful Opt-Out program is to ensure that consumer requests are honored during the next publication delivery.

PDC’s highly specialized delivery media production systems have been enhanced to:

  • Integrate these consumer requests into our carrier delivery routes and quality verification processes.
  • Provide delivery carriers multiple, address specific alerts in their route package, steering them away from the consumer’s address.
  • Record the verification of non-delivery by the carrier and station supervisor
